So you have made the decision it's time to shed some of those
unwanted pound that hang unsightly around your mid rift like a spare
tyre or more importantly you have been advised by your doctor to lose
some weight for medical reasons.
If you have not been in a gym or followed a particularly active life the options and what can be very much conflicting advice is or can be somewhat overwhelming.
So where do we start with our weight loss campaign?
The usual suggestions are join a gym take, various classes in all sorts from yoga to body pump, lift weights have a sauna then do it 3 or 4 times a week.
As you would expect it's very easy to find yourself out of your comfort zone and going to significant and at the start of your life changes unnecessary expense.
An exceptional place to start would be to go for a walk nothing more nothing less and by doing so you are engaging in physical exercise and the intensity of this is gauged and regulated by you as your fitness progresses you can increase the intensity of the walk by making it longer, walk faster, introduce undulating or hilly terrain.
Its a fact that walking burns less calories than running however most people would agree we can walk further than we can run thus creating an equilibrium over time.
With various fitness programs to attain reasonable results its suggested we train 3 times a week which introduces additional challenges, in our busy life's you may ask the question where am i going to find the time to go to a gym 3 times a week.
But with our simple plan this is irrelevant we can do this daily and as often as we wish and we are not necessarily required to allocate time for exercise, very simply we could walk to our destinations or make provisions to walk part of the way, take steps not elevators, the options are endless.
As you can see walking does aid fitness and weight loss all you need to do is take the first step.
